I just purchase Photoshop CS4 ( Well, it is bundle of Creative Suite 4 Design Premium) and since yesterday i tried out, what is new, but still in Photoshop, not yet to the other applications.
As you know, Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection 4 contains applications such Acrobat 9 Pro, Bridge, Contribute, Device Central, DreamWeaver, Drive, Extention Manager, Firework, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, media Encoder and Photoshop.
In general it is - of course - much faster and better than older version.
But, what i didn't expect was when i would like to isolate my pic from its background to move it to the other background using Extract Tool, it was not there.
Of course there are several ways to do it like use quick selection tool or "select>color range" and so on but my favourite tool to do it is Extract Tool.
So, is this tool dead? is this tool don't supported in CS4 anymore? it is really pity.
Searched, well i found it! this tool is not included in the package anymore but you can download by yourself from adobe site as additional plug-in. Here is the link: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4047 ( For Mac )
Here is i added some links to Adobe site:
To download trial version, follow this link: Creative Suite 4 trial version
To purchase Adobe Product for EU, follow this link: Europe - Adobe Store
Note: Image above (the cartoon) was extracted from its background used Extract Tool then i moved it to the new background which i made with gradient and 5 kind of brushes.
Anyway, happy valentine day!
